Which category should I participate in?

As a participant, it is important to realise that this is not a race. There is no podium but we have a timing chip to calculate the distance.

• 4 Hour Run – This category is for those runners who have earlier finished a HM or are preparing for an HM. Those runners who are preparing for an FM can also select this category and use this event as a dry run for your next FM.
• 6 Hour Run – This category is for experienced half marathoners and beginner full marathoners. For experienced half marathoners this is the chance to get to a distance as near as 42 Kms in an easy manner and full marathoners can target to go beyond full marathoner and become Ultra Marathoner.
• 12 Hour Run – This is the event’s flagship category and is meant for serious Ultra Runners looking to add a good event in their kitty and for experienced Full Marathoners who are

seriously training for an Ultra Event and want to run their first serious Ultra in an environment which is runners friendly and under the organisers who understand Ultra running well.

Event Details

• Event Date: Saturday, 2nd March ,2023
• Reporting Time: 7:00 PM (6:00 PM for Outstation participants who wish to collect their BIB on the event day)
• Venue: Belvedere Club Lawn, Adani Shantigram, Nr. Vaishnodevi Circle, S G Highway, Ahmedabad-382421
• Event Timing: 8 pm March 2nd to 8 am March 3rd 2024
• Flag off Time: 8 PM (Exact flag off time for different category may be different and will be informed to all registered participants before the event)
• Run Route: The run route is a loop of approximately 6 KMs starting from Flag off point at Belvedere Club lawns within Shantigram township on a wide and well-lit road with lot of greenery on both sides of the road. Exact event route will be informed to participants along with race manual and at the time of final briefing on event day.

Facilities Available at the Event

• Hydration Stations –Adequate number of hydration stations are planned for the participants. Maximum distance between two hydration station would not be more than 2 Kilometres. Each hydration station will be equipped with water, electrolyte, banana, oranges, salt, essential medicines such as pain sprays and some solid food like chikki, dates etc after four hours. Participants will have to carry their own bottles. Alternatively, we will provide water in reusable cups at the hydration station.
• Toilets – Toilets are available at the start point and we are arranging portable toilets enroute as well. Exact location of toilets will be informed to the participants during the race briefing.
• Medical Check-up – Vital signs of every participant for 6 hours and 12 hours category would be monitored by team of volunteers under guidance of Medical Director at a fixed frequency. If we find any abnormality in the vitals of any participant medical director will have the right to stop the participant from running further. We have also arranged adequate number of trained physiotherapists to help participants during and after race.
• Food – What is an Ultra run without food? Ample food would be made available at a dedicated area inside the start venue where you can have food and then resume with your running.
• Photographs – Good number of professional photographers will be deployed enroute to click you while you are toiling hard and therefore, please be ready with your smile and makeup (sweat and blood) to be shot on the face.
